When M+A reached out to me about their engagement shoot, they had something unique in mind—starting their day with “The Drive-Thru” package at the iconic Sure Thing Chapel and ending with a slice of pizza at Evel Pie.
This session was an absolute dream for someone like me, who loves capturing candid, authentic moments. From the quirky details of the chapel to the energy of downtown Las Vegas, this shoot had it all.
The Drive-Thru at Sure Thing Chapel
Sure Thing Chapel is a retro, fun, and slightly offbeat gem in Las Vegas—a perfect fit for couples looking for something a little different. With their “The Drive-Thru” package, M+A embraced the lighthearted and romantic spirit of the city.
The package included 15 minutes to shoot inside the chapel and an additional 15 minutes with a vintage car—giving us two incredible settings to work with. Inside the chapel, I captured tender moments between the couple, surrounded by glowing neon lights and vintage decor that created a nostalgic yet playful vibe. The warm, retro atmosphere brought out their personalities and set the tone for the rest of the day.
Stepping outside, the vintage car added a touch of classic Vegas glam. Whether they were cozied up in the back seat or posing outside with the car, every shot felt effortlessly cool. It was such a fun way to blend romance with a little edge, and it perfectly matched the couple’s vibe.
Exploring Downtown Las Vegas
After the Drive-Thru session, we ventured into the heart of downtown Las Vegas. The streets provided an urban playground of textures and colors for the engagement photos.
We wandered Fremont Street, where the mix of street art, murals, and buzzing crowds added an electric energy to the session. I captured them walking hand-in-hand past colorful murals, laughing together under neon signs, and stealing quiet moments amid the city’s lively backdrop.
One of my favorite spots was a hidden alleyway with vintage Vegas vibes—it perfectly balanced the glitz of the city with a sense of intimacy. M+A brought their own style and flair, which made these images truly one-of-a-kind.
Ending with Pizza at Evel Pie
To wrap up the day, we stopped at Evel Pie, a downtown classic known for its rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere and delicious pizza. But instead of staying inside, M+A grabbed a slice to share and headed out to the sidewalk on Downtown Fremont.
It was one of the sweetest moments of the day—sitting on the curb under the glow of Vegas neon lights, laughing, and taking in the vibrant energy of the city around them. As they leaned in to share a bite of their pizza, it felt like the perfect metaphor for their relationship: simple, joyful, and full of love.
The contrast between the high-energy exploration of downtown and the laid-back vibe of sharing pizza on the sidewalk was the perfect way to tell their story. It reminded me how often the most meaningful moments are the ones that happen naturally.
